  • 1 Arrive in Cairo

    Cairo, to be exact! Your tour leader will meet and greet you at the Cairo International Airport, holding a sign with your name on it and ready to help with all the arrangements as you set foot onto a holiday in Egypt. You will be transferred to the hotel upon your arrival by an air-conditioned modern vehicle. Upon arrival at the hotel, your Golavita Travel guide will assist in checking in and reviewing the details of your Egypt Classic tour with you, including pickup times for each tour.

  • 2 Tour to Giza Pyramids, Saqqara and Memphis

    Do not forget to enjoy your breakfast at the hotel before starting your Cairo Day Tours to Giza Pyramids, Memphis, and Saqqara.

     After that, you will head over to see the Great Sphinx, which symbolizes the power and intelligence of the old monarchs in the form of a big statue, and then to the Valley Temple of King Chephren to learn more about the mummification process.

    Lunch will be in a good quality restaurant, where you can enjoy some delicious food before continuing your tour to the Step Pyramid of King Zoser in Sakkara, the oldest stone building in the world. You will also visit the pyramid of Teti and the Kagemni tomb to see the scenes of daily life in ancient Egypt.

    Your tour guide will meet you at your hotel to start the tour of The Egyptian Museum and Coptic Cairo. You will first visit the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities, where you will enjoy a thrilling journey through ancient Egyptian history, with over 250,000 antiquities displayed there.

    After lunch, your guide will lead you around on an Old Cairo Tour that includes visiting the Citadel of Salah El Din and the Alabaster Mosque of Mohamed Ali, a masterpiece of Ottoman architecture reflecting the design of the Blue Mosque in Istanbul. The Citadel has been the seat of the government in Egypt for most time since it was built by Salah Edin.

    After a heavenly lunch at a high-class restaurant, you will take a tour of Coptic Cairo starting from the ancient Roman fortress of Babylon, then you will visit The Hanging Church, one of the most beautiful churches built in old Cairo. You will pass also by the church of St. Sergius, the Cavern Church.

  • 4 Exploring Luxor's East Bank Tour

    You will arrive in Luxor, and head to the hotel to check in. Take the rest of the day to relax and adjust to your new surroundings. Spend the night at the hotel in Luxor.
    Let's begin with a tour of Luxor's East Bank, starting with the Karnak Temple Complex, a natural museum of ancient Egyptian art showcasing the power and glory of the Golden Age. After that, visit Luxor Temple, which is a witness to the greatness of the pharaohs of the New Kingdom. After the tour, return to the ship to relax and enjoy a relaxing evening before dinner is served at the boat restaurant. Enjoy peace and quiet on your first night on your Nile River Cruise in Luxor.

    After this unforgettable experience on the west bank of Luxor, you will be taken back to the cruise where you can enjoy lunch as the ship sails to Esna to pass through the lock. Take in the breathtaking views of the Nile Valley during tea time on the upper deck of the cruiser. Indulge in a delicious oriental dinner on board upon reaching Edfu, where you will spend the night relishing the belly dancing and musical show on the serene waters of the Nile.

  • 6 Edfu Temple and Kom Ombo: Ancient Sites Tour

    Your breakfast will be on board the Nile Cruise, then a visit to Edfu to take a horse-drawn carriage to the huge temple of Edfu, which was built during the Ptolemaic period to worship the falcon god Horus. Then you will be transferred back to the cruise to continue its sailing down the Nile to the Kom Ombo site. We will disembark upon arrival to visit the fascinating Kom Ombo temple dedicated to two gods: the god of crocodiles, Sobek, and one of God Horus' forms worshipped at Kom Ombo called Haroeris. Upon your return to the Nile Cruise, head toward Aswan while sipping tea onboard. After visiting those historical places, return to the cruise to have lunch on board, which will provide you with unforgettable scenes of the Nile and its surroundings of islands. Lounge on the sun deck during tea time and admire the view.
