• 1 Begin Your Journey

  Your Elite Nile Cruise luxury adventure will begin with your embarkation before lunch. Enjoy a scrumptious meal on board, then set sail to explore Aswan's marvels. Visits include the High Dam, the modern marvel of engineering; the ancient Granite Quarries, the site of an unfinished obelisk; and the beautiful Philae Temple, dedicated to the goddess Isis.

  After a richly rewarding morning, it's back aboard for lunch as we cruise on to Kom Ombo. Here, visit the quite extraordinary Temple of Sobek, this time shared by the crocodile god, Sobek, and Horus, the falcon-headed god. As the sun begins to set, we cruise on to Edfu where you'll moor up for the night in comfort and style.

• 2 Discovering the Ancient Horus Temple

  The day begins with a sumptuous breakfast taken aboard the Elite Nile Cruise during our Luxor Aswan Nile Cruise. Following your breakfast, you will disembark for a visit to the magnificent Temple of Horus in Edfu, one of the finest conserved temples in Egypt, dedicated to the god with the falcon head, Horus. You will be stunned by the greatness and intricacy of carvings that depict ancient Egyptian mythology.

  Return to the cruise for a leisurely sail to Esna, where you can soak in the serene views of the Nile River. As the afternoon becomes well advanced, we continue on our way toward the historic city of Luxor.

  Finally, arrive in Luxor and get ready for a magical evening. You will have an overnight stay at Luxor, but all of the luxurious onboard amenities are at your beck and call as you get ready for even more wonders the next day.

• 3 Exploring the Treasures of Luxor's West Bank

  Start with an ample breakfast on board the Elite Nile Cruise, then visit some impressive attractions on the West Bank of Luxor. One of the magnificent historical sites is the Valley of the Kings, which used to be the royal burial site for the pharaohs. You will discover, after entering the tombs, what secrets they hold for mankind from the hands of these ancient rulers.

• 4 The Majestic Temples of Karnak and Luxor

  Enjoy your last breakfast on board the Elite Nile Cruise before disembarking. The last day will be devoted to the two most iconic and magnificent temples of Egypt.

  Begin with the magnificent Temple of Karnak—the huge complex of sanctuaries, pylons, and obelisks consecrated to Amun, Mut, and Khonsu, the Theban triad. Now, stroll through the powerful Hypostyle Hall, flanked by columns over 18 meters high at their upper heights, and look upon the beautiful hieroglyphics that adorn the walls.

  After lunch, visit the Luxor Temple, which lies on the east bank of the Nile. This is certainly the second major temple in the town of Luxor. It is considered one of the best examples of ancient architecture not only in Egypt but throughout the world. This vast building represents a unique mixture of different styles, the main ones being several epochs of ancient Egypt, which makes the architectural peculiarities even more fascinating.
