Tour itinerary

Day 1 Arrival at Cairo

Upon your arrival at Cairo International Airport, our Golavita English-speaking tour guide will be waiting to transfer you to your hotel in Cairo.

Following check-in and a refreshing welcome drink, we will go through the remainder of your 8-day luxury travel itinerary to brief you on the exciting best highlights waiting for you in Cairo, Luxor, Aswan, and Abu Simbel. Your hotel will ensure that all of the tours around Egypt are kept on the right track.

Day 2 Giza Pyramids, Saqqara and Memphis

After breakfast, you will meet your private Egyptologist guide and start your day by visiting one of the most astonishing places on earth: the Pyramids of Giza—Cheops, Chephren, and Mycerinus—and the Great Sphinx, where you will see all the charm that the Egyptian Pharaohs held during the 4th dynasty of the old kingdom.

You will enjoy lunch at one of the best restaurants in Memphis, the city that was the capital of the old kingdom when the ancient Egyptian empire was at its peak in power.

On your way to visit the Step Pyramid of King Djoser in Saqqara, you will see some of the impressive artifacts like the Colossus of Ramses II and the Alabaster Sphinx of Memphis. This indeed is an impressive monument, housing some grand tombs of the nobles with the magnificent one facing the Pyramid of King Teti of the 6th dynasty. You will also get to visit some impressive scenes of ancient Egyptian art in the tomb of Kagemni.

After viewing the Pyramids of Giza you will return to your hotel for the night.

Day 3 Egyptian Museum, Salah El-din Citadel, Flying to Luxor

Your Golavita Egyptologist guide, fluent in English, will meet you at your hotel before you start your journey to the Egyptian Museum. In this museum, there are many beautiful monuments and historical findings you are still not ready to discover. Your Golavita guide will then take you to a local restaurant for a delicious lunch and more indulgence in the culture of the land of the pyramids, Egypt.


Visiting the Saladin Citadel and the Mohamed Ali Mosque, you will be able to see some superb architecture of the 1300s, which corresponds to the Blue Mosque in Turkey.

You will be connected to our Cairo day tours to sites of beauty and historical importance such as the Coptic neighborhood, the Hanging Church, the Ben Ezra Synagogue, and the cavern church of St. Sergius. Later today, packed with all this sightseeing, you will board your flight for overnights to Luxor. Upon arrival in Luxor in the morning, be received by our Golavita representatives and driven to your hotel.

Day 4 East and West Bank, Luxor

Eat your breakfast at the Luxor Hotel. Then, Golavita guide will come to meet you in the hotel for a small briefing regarding today's West Bank tours of Luxor. In short, places include some fabulous ones to begin with—the elegantly towering statue of Colossi of Memnon and the Temple of Hatshepsut. These two huge structures date back to ancient Egypt's only lady pharaoh reigning during its 18th dynasty.

 

The Valley of the Kings, used for the burial of kings from the 17th to the 20th dynasty by ancient Egyptians, is a worth-visiting location. Major tombs and graveyards dug into mountain rock present a big scene in the cemetery that cannot be visualized again and again.

Wind up the day with a nice lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, you will proceed to see the East Bank of Luxor, which spells charm all over the city. Proceed to visit two of the most famous temples in Egypt—the Temple of Karnak and the Temple of Luxor. Return to the hotel thereafter for an overnight stay.

Day 5 Aswan Sightseeing

Drive to Aswan and check into the hotel.

Afternoon visits to the High Very important in relation to the projects along the Nile in Egypt for flood control, then the Unfinished Obelisk, and lastly Temple of Philae; lunch at a local restaurant on this easy afternoon that will also allow for a felucca ride down the Nile to Elephantine Island.

Finally, check in to the Aswan Hotel for overnighting.

 

Day 6 Abu Simbel Temples Tour, Back to Cairo

Enjoy your breakfast at the hotel, then start off with our Golavita private guided tour of Abu Simbel, one of the wonders of ancient history. You will be acquainted with the Temples of Ramses II, built by none other than the very mighty Pharaoh himself. Go on this ride in total comfort and style as our guide takes you on a true hassle-free adventure.

After lunch, transfer to the airport to fly back to Cairo where our tour guide will welcome you and transfer you to your hotel in Cairo.

Day 7 Free Day in Cairo-invited to Tour Khan El Khalili is available upon request

Next morning, after breakfast, you will have all the time at your disposal. If the desire arises, you will be able to familiarize yourself with the most interesting sights of Cairo.

Your Islamic Cairo will take place in the Old Fatimid quarter. Here, you will also discover some souvenirs for dear people. The Khan El Khalili Bazaar will seem a paradise with an assorted choice of goods that will please all your close people.

Depart to your hotel in Cairo, where you will stay overnight.

After having your breakfast, you will be taken back to Cairo International Airport for your flight out of Egypt.
