Tour itinerary

Day 1 Cairo

Golavita Travel Egypt representative will greet and assist you through immigration and customs formalities at Cairo airport. Once you are ready, your guide will join you in our modern new brand vehicle to start your tour to Giza and Cairo attractions. One of the best things to do in Egypt is to visit Giza Pyramids including the only wonder of the old seven wonders, the Cheops Pyramid. Giza Pyramids include Cheops Pyramid, Chephren Pyramid and Menkaure Pyramid. There are so many tombs found near the Pyramids for the Pyramid builders and some of them have amazing scenes for the daily life in ancient Egypt. You will visit the Great Sphinx. At the end of your day, you will go to have smooth check-in at your hotel and overnight.

Day2 Cairo Top Sites

After having your breakfast at the hotel and on the agreed time, you will check-out from your hotel and start a full day guided tour to Cairo attractions. Egyptian Museum in Tahrir Square, in case if your plane if early and you will have time, your guide will join you in a guided tour to the National Egyptian Museum in Tahrir square.

Lunch: Enjoy a freshly cooked lunch at a local restaurant

The Citadel of Saladin: This Cairo tourist attraction was built by Saladin in 1176 AD on the highest point between the Nile River and Moqqattam Hills. While, Ayyubid Dynasty, Mamluks Dynasty, and Ottoman Dynasty used it as a seat of the government for about 700 years. One of the best things to do in Cairo is to visit the Alabaster Mosque of Mohamed Ali. The longest and the most beautiful street before the modern Cairo is El Moez Street. It is located near Khan El Khalili and between two gates of Old Cairo Bab El Fotouh and Bab Zuweila. At the end of the day, you will head to Giza railway station to board your sleeper train to Luxor around 20.00 pm.

Day 3 Luxor

Upon arrival to Luxor and after having your breakfast on board the sleeper train, you will start your Luxor day tours with east bank attractions. One of the best things to do in Luxor is to visit Karnak temple and its surroundings. While, you visit Karnak, remember to visit Ptah temple, Mut temple, Khonsu temple, and Festival Hall of Thutmose III. At the end of your tour to the Karnak temple, you will go to check in at your hotel in Luxor and free time till late afternoon. Luxor temple is located on Luxor east bank and it was built by Amenhotep III, and completed by Rameses II. The temple is famous for its 6 massive statutes for Rameses II, the Obelisks, avenue of Sphinxes with human heads. Later on, you will go back to your hotel and overnight.

Day 4 Luxor

Enjoy your breakfast at the hotel before you start your Luxor day tours to the west bank of the Nile River. Valley of the Kings is home to the Pharaonic tombs. Actually, you can visit 3 tombs and learn more about ancient Egyptian religion, funerary beliefs in ancient Egypt, and tombs robbers. Also, you can visit Tutankhamun tomb and know more about funerary objects inside the tombs, and the religious book. The Mortuary temple of Hatshepsut in Deir El Bahari is one of the top tourist attractions in Luxor. The temple is surrounded by the Nobles tombs of Al Deir El Bahari, and near Mentuhotep II temple from the 12 the dynasty. Amenhotep III mortuary temple on Luxor west bank was decorated with two massive statues 17m each known as Memnon Colossi.

Lunch: Enjoy your lunch at a local restaurant on Luxor west bank. Then your guide will take you to Luxor train station to board your train back to Cairo.

Day 5 Giza

Upon arrival to Giza railway station, your guide will join you to see more of Cairo attractions. You will start your day from the cemetery of the oldest capital of the united Egypt, Saqqara (Sakkara). Actually, Saqqara has about 14 Pyramids. Unas Pyramid in Saqqara dates back to the fifth dynasty, Old Kingdom and it is one of the smallest and most beautiful Pyramids in Egypt. The Pyramid is about 43 m in height and it was built by the last king of the 5 the dynasty. Explore the Step Pyramid of Djoser, it is the first stone structure in the world and it date back to the third dynasty. One of the most beautiful tombs in Saqqara is Princess Idut tomb. The tomb was for somebody called Ihy but princess Idut managed to take it for herself.

The lunch will be in a very nice restaurant by the exit of Saqqara between palm trees with folkloric music.

Red Pyramid of Snefru: King Sneferu from the fourth dynasty, Old Kingdom built two Pyramids in Dahshour to the south of the old capital Memphis. Visit Bent Pyramid of Dahshour, the First Pyramid in Dahshour and second after that at Medium in Fayoum built by the same king Snefru, Cheops’s father. At the end of your tour, you will go to check in at your hotel in Cairo.

Day 6 Fnal Departure

Enjoy your last breakfast at the hotel and according to your plane time, we will transfer you to Cairo airport for your final departure.
