Grand Egyptian Museum
The newly opened Egyptian Museum near the Giza Pyramids is the largest archaeological museum in the world. The GEM Museum is designed to house a vast collection of artifacts from the beginning of Egyptian history till the Greco-Roman era. During your visit, you will know that the Grand Egyptian Museum is the only Hanging Obelisk in the world. Besides, the Grand Staircase with 11 statues of Senusert, the Grand Atrium, and statues of most Ptolemaic kings especially Cleopatra. Overall, the treasures of Tutankhamun are from his tomb in the Valley of the Kings in Luxor.

Giza Pyramids Complex
On the Giza Plateau, you will find the Pyramids of Giza, they are home to the famous three Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren, and Menkaure from the 4th Dynasty, Old Kingdom. These mind-blowing constructions still amazed the historian about their impossible perfection. Moreover, the relationship between the Pyramids and the Orion Belt still needs more studies.
Cheops Pyramid
The Great Pyramid of Cheops is the only surviving wonder of the old wonder and one of the most famous attractions in Cairo. Originally, it was 146 m but now it's only 137 m in height and about 7 million tons in weight. The Great Pyramid includes 3 small Queen Pyramids, Tombs of Pyramid builders, a Purification temple, and 5 boat Pits including the Cheops Solat Boat now in the Grand Egyptian Museum.
Tombs of Pyramid builders
A lot of tombs were discovered in 1990 and later in 2009 for the builders of the Pyramid and seems they were for those who died during the construction. One of the most beautiful discovered tombs was for a couple called Ptah-shepsesu and his wife with three burial shafts in the tomb. These tombs provide valuable information about the daily life of the low-class people.
Valley Temple
This temple is part of the Pyramid's complex and seems it was used for Mummification or at least performance the Opening of the Mouth rituals. Chephren Valley temple is the best-preserved one in Egypt right now. It is very similar to the Osireion in Abydos.
The Great Sphinx
The famous Giza Sphinx is a huge statue with a human head and lion body measures 73 meters long and 20 meters in height. Between the paws of the Sphinx, you can see the Dream Stele for Prince Thutmose IV from the 18th Dynasty, New Kingdom.
